About the Project
For this repeat client, we reimagined a once-formal dining room into a space designed for real life, one that invites connection, hosting, and a sense of escape at the end of the day. No longer needing a traditional dining setting, the vision evolved into a moody, intimate speakeasy inspired by the charm of a Parisian café, tucked within the comfort of their own home.
PROJECT BEFOREThe design leans into rich, layered materials and a fully immersive palette. We color-drenched the room in a deep gray-blue, creating a cocoon-like atmosphere, then introduced jewel-toned accents to add warmth and depth. The custom bar becomes a focal point, featuring quartzite stone and brass mesh cabinetry fronts that bring both texture and refinement. Vintage furnishings and a curated gallery of art and frames complete the space, giving it a collected, lived-in feel that effortlessly blends sophistication with ease.
