Big View

Lake Austin, Texas

Originally brought in to furnish a lakeside casita, our scope quickly expanded into a full-scale transformation of this 10,000-square-foot lakefront residence in Austin, Texas. Working within an accelerated timeline, we reimagined the home’s architectural presence, introducing depth, warmth, and a refined old-world sensibility inspired by Spanish Revival design. With sweeping views of Lake Austin and surrounding oak trees, the design was grounded in nature, layering organic materials, plaster finishes, and timeless stone to create a seamless connection between indoors and out.

Guided by the homeowners’ extraordinary collection of rare global artifacts, the home was curated as a living gallery, where each piece feels intentional, storied, and deeply personal. The home was gutted and re-imagined in every room in the house with the largest transformation in the kitchen by adding a butler’s pantry and creating a spa-like oasis in the primary bathroom.

RELATED

Just off the kitchen, this double-sided living space was designed as a quiet connector, where the energy softens into something more intimate. Anchored by a shared fireplace, each side offers its own rhythm: one for casual family moments that unfold naturally throughout the day, the other for slower evenings.  Intimate conversation, a glass of wine, and a perfect area for game nights. We leaned into warmth and approachability here, using rounded forms, tactile fabrics, and a palette grounded in the landscape.  We created a space that invites you to linger, gather without agenda, and settle into the kind of connection that happens when a home is designed to hold it.
